White Clay Creek, Old Bridge, Rocks in Stream in album forest

A large, open creek in a forested area, leafing out in spring, with two pillars from an old bridge visible in the distance

This photo shows White Clay Creek in White Clay Creek State Park, Delaware. This photo is taken from near the barrier along the main road, the farthest that car traffic is allowed along this road.

Pictured in this photo are two of the pillars of the old bridge that used to cross the creek in this area. Since this photo was taken, a new bridge has been built, not in the exact same location, but very close by. This new bridge is now open to bicycle and pedestrian traffic, and is very convenient for accessing the path on the other side of the stream.

This photo also shows a dam-like setup whereby a number of rocks and branches have come together. It is not clear whether this is a human construction, or whether it is natural. I suspect human involvement.
