These wetlands are in the John Heinz national wildlife refuge, across from the Philadelphia airport. This photo was taken towards the east end of the refuge, looking northeast from a wooden walkway across a small neck of wetlands that extends out of the main body of water.

This photo does not show any birds, but this particular area was filled with bird life, with numerous tree swallows flying about, great blue herons and great egrets perched in trees, several eastern kingbirds perched low in the vegetation and flycatching, and a warbling vireo singing.
