Forested Path, Rittenhouse Park, Newark, DE

This path goes uphill through a forest in Rittenhouse Park, Newark, Delaware. This park looks small on a map, but it feels quite large once inside; it has just under 2 miles of trails, but there are substantial tracts of relatively intact mature forest. In the spot where this photo was taken, I could hear two ovenbirds singing; ovenbirds are a small species of warbler that requires a sizeable chunk of mature forest in which to breed.
