Whole Coconut

These whole fresh coconut were for sale at the Newark, Delaware farmer's market. These fruit are delicious, but hard to crack; I generally avoid buying them as I do not have good equipment for dealing with them. It is fun, however, to see them for sale; these are relatively hard to find in the U.S.

I do love coconut though; it's unusual in that it is a fruit that is both fatty and slightly sweet.
