This is a photo of a sliced Forelle pear, one of the pears I bought from the batch of Forelle pears from Chile that I saw for sale in Philadelphia.

The pear was crispy, slightly softer than a Bosc pear but significantly crispier and firmer than a Bartlett or D'Anjou. Its aroma was pear-like and pleasing, but nothing extraordinary. The pear overall was a disappointment, mainly due to its slightly dry texture. It was extremely attractive but did not deliver on the quality that I expect from a top-notch pear.
