In Albums: Philadelphia cars trees

When hurricane Irene came through Philadelphia and the east coast of the U.S., there was a lot of talk about how it had been over-hyped. However, this photo from my neighborhood shows at least one piece of serious damage, in which a tree (a Norway maple) fell and crushed the read end of a car (a Honda accord), smashing its rear windshield.
The street also shows a lot of mud. Was hurricane Irene over-hyped? I don't know. I will say, in a potential disaster like this, it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm glad I wasn't walking by when this tree came down.
