BP Tower, Cleveland in album city

In Albums: Cleveland city

Wide brown skyscraper with black windows, a few yellow lights, against a sky with billowy, dark clouds, with a few leaves of locust foliage around the side of the photo

I am not the biggest fan of the BP Tower, the second tallest building in the skyline of Cleveland, Ohio. I took this photo to capture the essence of the way this building makes me feel, and the vibe that I fele it contributes or imparts to the city's skyline.

I find that the BP Tower looks a bit gloomy, with its dark color and more modern look. The locust foliage on the right of the photo is appropriate, as the locust is an early successional species, colonizing disturbed ground and areas poor in nutrients where other trees do not easily grow. I feel that this adequately reflects the BP Building: it is not a friendly building and it does not make Cleveland look like a particularly hospitable place. Its modern architecture I find also meshes naturally with the leaves of the locust.
