Boarded Up Building, Glenside And Hayden in album urban decay

In Albums: Cleveland urban decay

A boarded up three story red brick apartment building with missing windows on the second floor, and balconies overlooking the street, across the street on the left, a vacant lot

This boarded up building stands on the northwest corner of Glenside Rd and Hayden Ave in Cleveland, Ohio, just southeast of St. Clair Ave. The ground shows some light snow cover, typical for winter in Cleveland, where rainfall and just-above-freezing temperatures melt and wash away some, but not all of the snow.

This building is also typical of the architecture in most of Cleveland. It shows a dark red brick, which is probably darkened in part by years of soot and pollution from industry in the area. The building is attractive, and has beautiful balconies overlooking the street, but is in a complete state of disrepair.

This photo was taken from an RTA bus, which is evident from the side of the bus window showing on the right, and a faint reflection also visible if you look carefully.
