Chesapeake Bay, Water and Sky

In Albums: water sky Chesapeake Bay

Dark blue open water, with only very tiny ripply waves, and open sky with a few white, billowy clouds, a few tiny boats visible on the horizon

This is a photo of water and sky on the Chesapeake bay. Unfortunately, I do not recall exactly where this photo was taken, or which direction it is looking in. This photo was taken from a boat that left from the UMCES laboratory in Solomons, MD.

People usually do not think of the Chesapeake bay as being a massive expanse of water, but it is large enough that you cannot easily see across.

A few tiny boats are visible on the horizon; a hint of land is visible just above the horizon, especially to the far right of the photo.
