Texas Star at inside the Austin Capitol's Dome

One thing I love in life is being able to stand at the symbolic geographic centers of various entities, such as a town, city, or college campus. In the case of Texas, it is possible to stand at the symbolic center of the entire state: the capitol of Texas, Austin, lies close to the geographic center of the state, and the capitol building itself lies close to the center of the city of Austin. At the very center of the capitol building lies the star of texas -- both on the floor and the ceiling.
It was fun standing here and taking this photograph.
