Foliage and Roof: Beck Center, Lakewood Ohio in album Cleveland

In Albums: Cleveland city

Vibrant green foliage, against the roof of a building, in a relatively enclosed area, with some brick walls visible

This is a photo taken out a window on the second floor of the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood, Ohio. The Beck Center is, in my opinion, an exceptionally ugly building, exemplifying the worst of 70's architecture, and it sticks out like a sore thumb in the beautiful city of Lakewood, Ohio, which mostly has highly attractive 1920's architecture.

This photo is my attempt to capture what beauty I was able to find in this building. I love brick, and I find it contrasts well with trees and foliage. I find the odd jumble of roof, wall, and tree foliage in this picture to be oddly organic. This was the most pleasing view I was able to find anywhere in or near this abomination of a building.
