These lemons were for sale at the Newark, Delaware farmer's market.

I tend to use relatively few lemons in cooking, opting instead to use limes. Besides the difference in aroma, lemons tend to be both sweeter and more intensely sour, whereas limes tend to be slightly less sour and also less sweet, and more bitter. I prefer bitter, aromatic foods, so I naturally prefer limes. Lemons are particularly sour to me, but this is useful when sourness or acidity is needed.
