This photo shows the wetlands in Dragon Run Park in Delaware City, Delaware. This is a small park easily accessible from the small road that runs alongside the fire station in Delaware City. In winter, Dragon Run Park is one of the quickest and easiest places to see wintering ducks, and probably the best spot that is easily accessible from northern Delaware (most of the other good sites for ducks are much farther south).

In late spring and summer, when the ducks have gone, this area is less favored by birders, but I still find it interesting to visit. This photo shows the wetlands in late may, once all the foliage has fully leafed out, but before the mosquitos and other bugs
