This photo shows a Christmas camellia (Camellia sasanqua) in bloom. I find this to be a beautiful plant, and it is unusual in that it bloom towards late November and the beginning of December in the Philadelphia area, and blooms for a long time.

This photo was featured in my blog post about the Christmas camellia and its relationship to the tea plant, in which I noted that these blooms smell a lot like the floral qualities in some greener oolong teas.
